Seven People Stabbed In Sydney Party Brawl

Two men aged 16 and 21 were also taken to Westmead Hospital and were said to be in serious condition.

Seven people have been stabbed at a house party in Sydney’s north-west.

Three boys, two aged 16 and one aged 17, and a woman aged 18 were all taken to Royal North Shore Hospital with stab wounds where they are understood to be in stable conditions.

Gladesville Superintendent John Duncan told reporters the matter is now being treated as a homicide.

Police were called to a home in Ryde just after midnight on Sunday following the brawl that broke out among revellers inside the premises. “For some reason it’s turned violent and that’s what we need to get to the bottom of”, he said.

A 16-year-old boy was rushed to Westmead Hospital in critical condition but later succumbed to his injuries.

The five other injured partygoers are being treated at hospital.

Emergency services crews were originally called to attend to an unconscious patron, but called for police backup when they discovered multiple stabbing victims.

Officers said witnesses are being spoken to and so far no arrests have been made.
