Several injured after Emergency Landing

An aircraft of a private airline carrying 114 passengers ran off the runway Tuesday when its tyre burst upon landing at Lahore airport, Samaa reported. He said the pilot of the aircraft made an emergencylanding at Allama Iqbal global Airport after it developed a fault in its landing gears.

Passengers are lucky to be alive after a rough landing saw a commercial plane come off the runway in Lahore.

An initial report by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) said the aircraft’s landing gear, windows and right wing were damaged in the landing.

No passenger sustained injuries in the incident, the sources added.

The injured were provided with immediate medical treatment. None of them were in a critical condition.

Pakistan’s airline industry has been hit by a string of accidents in recent years. The flight operation of local and foreign airlines has been affected due to this incident.

In April, 2012, all 127 on board Bhoja Air’s Boeing 737-200 lost their lives when the flight flew from Karachi airport but crashed five kilometers from Islamabad. At least 112 passengers and seven crew members were on board the flight.
