Several Injured in Waxahachie House Explosion
The explosion happened at around 8 a.m.in Waxahachie on the 100 block of Arabian Road that runs through the Saddlebrook Estates neighborhood, said Waxahachie Police Department spokesman Wes Winn to BuzzFeed News.

It is not yet clear what caused the explosion, but officials and neighbors suspect natural gas was to blame.
City spokeswoman Amy Hollywood says two adults who were in the house were airlifted to a Dallas hospital after the explosion Monday morning.
Waxahachie Emergency Management Coordinator Marcus Brown said two adults were taken to the hospital by helicopter and a third person was treated for minor injuries at the scene. Much of the home collapsed upon the foundation, though thousands of pieces of roofing debris and other building material were seen strewn across several nearby properties. The Red Cross is on the scene and says two of the homes “sustained major damage”. Nine surrounding houses were damaged in the explosion.
“First and foremost our thoughts are with the families affected by today’s incident”.
The man asked where his sister was, Mallard said. “At this point it is too soon to tell what caused this incident”, said Jennifer Altieri of Atmos Energy. However, Atmos Energy issued statements Monday stating that its crews were dispatched to the scene to perform leak surveys and determine if gas was involved. She was badly burned.

The sounds of the Texas home explosion could be heard for up to 10 miles away, according to Waxahachie residents.
