Several injuries among people rushing from mall

A report of gunshots fired inside the mall came in to police at about 2:30 p.m. Police said that there was a report of gunshots fired inside the mall, but no confirmation of a shooting.

Cops at Raleigh in North Carolina are responding to reports that shots were fired at the popular Crabtree Valley Mall. She said she knew it was time to go when “all the people were running”.

While some people reported seeing a gun, “no one has reported that we had a gun fired, so we are looking at all possibilities”, Deck-Brown said. He said he saw one of them pull out a gun and begin shooting. Rice reported that Raleigh police officers were evacuating stores in the food court area.

Others took to social media to report they were hiding in various store rooms and waiting for police. He said he heard about five or six shots as he was walking out of a cell phone accessory store with his family.

Although initial eyewitness accounts indicated that at least one customer was shot by the gunmen, statements from the police suggest that no injured shoppers have been identified nor has the shooter. Witnesses described seeing or hearing gunshots, followed by pandemonium.

Kristen Warring, 26, of Raleigh, said she was shopping with her boyfriend at the GameStop store when they first heard shots. ‘On the way out there were bags and shoes and drinks all over the place from people dropping them and running out.

Ricardo Flores was near the H&M store when he says he heard a gunshot. “And then there were more back toward the exit kind of telling people where to go”, Riggleman said.

Footage of people inside the mall reacting to the shooting and exiting into the streets drives home the sense of concern and worry that bystanders were experiencing.
