Severe storms with hail, wind possible in parts of Oklahoma

I say mainly and not fully because there is a small rain chance out there. That area includes a large part of of Arkansas, including Little Rock. Showers are expected to somewhat clear out by mid-afternoon Monday, allowing for some clearing and atmospheric recovery over our area. There is an ENHANCED RISK today over Arkansas into northeast Texas.

The possibility for those storms will increase in the late afternoon. This area is getting some sun now, and the atmosphere is trying to recover. Severe weather is not likely. Futurecast shows any activity should be rather scattered, but any storms that develop could be strong to severe with wind and hail the biggest threats.

The time to watch for the worst storms is as early as 4pm and as late at midnight; with the critical time from 5pm to 10pm.

Expect lots of clouds Tuesday morning that will give way to some afternoon sunshine. Isolated storms will be possible over the Eastern Ozarks with hail possible in any of the stronger storms.

Even though Saturday was sunny and dry, Sunday brings a moderate tornado threat to Oklahoma.
