Severe Thunderstorm Watch Issued For London
Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for Toronto and a tornado warning for some parts of the GTA, as the city hits day five of a heat alert.

Toronto will see a high of 30 C today but it will feel closer to 40 with humidity.
A “nearly stationary” line of severe thunderstorms through Watford to Strathroy and London to Brantford is capable of producing very strong wind gusts, nickel-sized hail, and heavy rain.
Heavy downpours can potentially cause flash floods and water pooling on roads, EC warns. Remember, when thunder roars, go indoors!
Environment Canada issues severe thunderstorm watches conditions are favourable for the development of large hail, damaging winds or torrential rainfall.
In the evening, a few showers are expected and thunderstorms are likely to subside, Environment Canada said.

Residents should check up on those who may be at risk of heat stroke or heat exhaustion, such as children or the elderly.
