Severe Thunderstorms Likely Tonight
There was a Severe Thunderstorm Watch issued for parts of Minnesota on Saturday evening – but that was canceled by the National Weather Service because storms did not develop to warrant that watch.

ComEd reported that 38,000 customers were affected from outages after the storm rolled through. These storms will clear from the north to the south through the morning.

“Strong wind gusts can toss loose objects, damage weak buildings, break branches of trees and overturn large vehicles”, Environment Canada said in a statement Sunday evening. The current time frame for severe weather is between 6 PM to 2 AM.
An approaching low pressure system and upper level disturbance are expected to ignite some thunderstorms later today, and a few severe thunderstorms are possible. The temperature will reach the mid-80s.
These storms will be capable of producing damaging winds, hail and flooding downpours.
