Severe weather expected this weekend
We may see a few strong to severe storms especially down near the OH and IN borders.

We’ve got a decent chance for showers and thunderstorms to fire up overnight and into Wednesday morning.
The primary threat is damaging winds up to 40 miles per hour accompanied by large hail, officials said.
The greatest risk for a few “intense, long-tracked tornadoes” will be through Wednesday night. With that, storms have them on alert over the next couple of days.
The biggest concern is highlighted in red where there is a rare moderate risk for severe weather, issued by the Severe Storm Prediction Center. According to the weather service, damaging straight line winds are the main threat if thunderstorms develop, but an isolated tornado can’t be ruled out.
Lingering storms after midnight should not be at severe levels, and Christmas Eve looks to be a sunny 66.

A strong storm system moving east through IL today is bringing the threat of severe thunderstorms and possible tornadoes to Indiana.
