Sexist claims: Steinem and Albright did Clinton no favors

But there is a very real possibility that a loss or a tie in New Hampshire could severely cut into Clinton’s donations, see a reduction in backers and endorsements, and may demoralize a candidate who has seen this movie before and didn’t enjoy the ending.

Steinem has since walked back her comments in a Facebook post, writing that her remarks were “misinterpreted as implying young women aren’t serious in their politics”.

Clinton told the young crowd that even though they may be voting for Bernie Sanders, she’s about helping them and she has the scars to show that she’s fought the establishment. “Whether they gravitate to Bernie or Hillary, young women are activist and feminist in greater numbers than ever before”.

Clinton critics were appalled he’d play the sexism card given his history of taking advantage of a young White House intern and other women. Elizabeth Warren hasn’t endorsed her campaign.

Bill Clinton was referring to the “Berniebros” – mobs of Sanders supporters who attack those criticizing Sanders or supporting Hillary Clinton online with crude, sexist language.

Viewers of the MSNBC-hosted event witnessed the first debate of the primary season between just two candidates – former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Vermont Sen. “I feel differently about her than I’m sure that my daughters do and the younger women do”.

Hats off to the Sanders’ campaign, for amping up the current narrative by asking tougher questions about Secretary Clinton’s relationship to Wall Street banks.

Sanders has repeatedly distanced himself from supporters who have used offensive language. With a solid lead in New Hampshire, he is spending heavily in SC by advertising on local black radio stations and paying black organizers, some who worked on both of President Obama’s campaigns, to go door to door canvassing on his behalf.

“You can’t offer a healthcare program [if] you don’t know what it costs”, Bill Clinton said.

“We can tell our story of how we climbed the ladder, and a lot of you younger women think it’s done”.

The argument that Clinton may be hiding something about her relationship with big banks and corporate America holds, especially in light of her campaign’s unwillingness to release the transcripts of talks and speeches she gave over the past many years.
