Zillow announced the results of the seventh annual Zillow Trick-or-Treat Index, ranking the 20 best cities to trick or treat in the nation.

Zillow said the data reveal the safest cities to trick or treat, and where kids can amass the best candy in the least amount of time.
The website also broke down the top five neighborhoods within Charlotte for trick-or-treating: Myers Park, Foxcroft, Montibello, Wendover-Sedgewood and Providence Plantation.
The ranking was created by combining the Zillow Home Value Index of single family residences with crime data, average distance between houses and number of residents under the age of 15.
The only two cities that beat out LA this year happened to be from Northern California.

San Francisco, San Jose, Los Angeles, Milwaukee, Phoenix and Chicago were the only cities to check in ahead of Boston. In addition, San Diego and Sacramento also barely made it into the top 10.
