A BJP MP Adityanath had criticised Shah Rukh Khan’s comments and stated that he was like alleged terrorist Hafiz Saeed.

Claiming that he finds this issue silly, Shah Rukh further said that creative people have nothing to do with it. Politics of the two countries should be handled by the politicians and inter-culture exchange of artists between the two countries doesn’t change anything.
Shah Rukh Khan on Monday said there was “nothing worse than religious intolerance and that it would take India to the Dark Ages”. It’s shocking to me. SRK, who is routinely told to go to Pakistan, has told the Indian media on several occasions that it was degrading to keep proving his patriotism and that he wouldn’t be leaving India.
BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya had recently triggered a controversy when he tweeted that SRK’s “soul” is in Pakistan though he lives in India.
“I want the world to know that he (Shah Rukh) received an ED notice on October 26 and India became intolerant on the 1st or 2nd of November”, she said on the sidelines of an event. “This is a condemnable statement and nobody can send an individual to Pakistan”, Congress leader Tom Vadakkan said while his party colleague P.C. Chacko feared such comments would create tension.
Another Hindutva proponent, Sadhvi Prachi, dubbed the actor a “Pakistani agent”.
Shah Rukh Khan today received support from an unlikely corner with the Shiv Sena saying that the actor should not be targeted only because he is a Muslim.
Mr Vijayvargiya’s tweet came after the actor spoke out against “extreme intolerance” in India.
While many leading Bollywood celebrities including Vidya Balan have refused to return their awards, King Khan clarified that he is not against the idea. “We applaud his stand and hope he stays firm on his stand. In the meantime, he can play the role of a peacemaker and can try to change Hafiz Saeed and other terrorists, who are sitting in Pakistan and spewing venom against India”, the Sena said.
