Thrush said she would often wait hours after practice to see Nassar.

“I wished the security could have been a little slower in restraining him so he could have gotten a couple of punches out”, she said.

As Cunningham delivered Nassar’s sentence on Monday, Rachael Denhollander, the first woman to make her allegations of abuse public in 2016, smiled broadly and squeezed her husband’s hand. It did not respond to a request for comment on the Senate resolution.

The Olympic coach has been suspended and all of the members of the USA Gymnastics board have left their posts.

Geddert is one of dozens of adults who surrounded Nassar for over two decades while the team doctor molested young athletes.

CHARLOTTE – The Eaton County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating complaints against John Geddert, the former U.S. Olympic gymnastics coach and longtime owner of Twistars Gymnastics Club in Dimondale who has strong ties to Larry Nassar.

Cunningham cited Nassar’s pre-sentencing interview, where he recanted his statement that his bare-handed, invasive procedures were medically unnecessary.

Nassar has been sentenced to more than 200 years in prison for sexually abusing Olympic gymnasts and Michigan State University athletes who were under his care.

Female judges in both of the MI courts forced Nassar to listen as victims recounted the impact on their lives. The case centers on sexual assaults at Twistars, a gym for elite gymnasts.
