Shania Twain had to cancel the concerts for her farewell tour because she has been diagnosed for a respiratory infection.
The 50-year-old country star has canceled two upcoming concerts on her Rock This Country tour due to a respiratory infection.
Refunds are being offered to ticket holders at the point of purchase.
The Rock This Country tour is Twain’s first tour in 11 years and last of her career. Shania Twain chose to have one last tour before retiring from travelling for good.
During her Las Vegas residency, Shania Twain began working on a new album, but it has taken longer than expected, reports The Morning Call.
“I just feel like I’m ready to hang my hat up in that regard”, she says. While we can expect to hear more studio music from Shania soon, when she revealed the trek back in March she also admitted that it would be her final run as she is now 50 and done with the grind of the road. Most of those sales came from her 1997 smash “Come On Over”, which featured hits like “That Don’t Impress Me Much” and “Man!”

“This is certainly not my retirement from music”, she assured Billboard in May. I’ve done a lot more live performing than I have recording, so I want to do a lot more of that. I want to write for other people. “I will be doing music for sure until the day I die”.
