Fisher’s pup Gary, who’s “very very famous on Twitter” also shines throughout the interview, at one point falling asleep as Robach tries to compose herself.

“It is Fandango’s top-selling movie of all time, even before it has even hit theatre screens”, said Fandango President Paul Yanover. He added in a separate video that fans who already watched the movie and paid to enjoy the film should let others do the same.

Robach erupts in laughter.

Finally… A fan dressed as Chewbacca commemorates the film’s highly anticipated release with an obligatory selfie. The new Star Wars film is the first in a decade and the seventh instalment in the series created by George Lucas. “It shaped my sense of wonder as a child and I’m excited to be here to see what they have done”.

“Star Wars” is, we all know, more than just a movie.

“We’ve also had a week-long ‘Star Wars” movie marathon at our house to prepare, watching two movies a day until the big premiere, where they will take their R2 popcorn buckets to be filled, of course”.

The theaters were open early for the first showing so people could go ahead and pick their seats.

Following violence during movie screenings in recent years, some theater chains issued strict rules for costumes and props during “Star Wars” showings.

Fans came out in full costume and in full character.

Meanwhile, Harrison Ford, who plays Han Solo, has asked fans not to share “Star Wars” spoilers on social media, according to Cinema Blend.

We’ll have more updates on The Force Awaken’s box office ascension as the news breaks.
