Sharif dedicates Ei-dul Azha to ‘sacrifices’ of Kashmiris

“Sacrifice gives us this lesson that we, on this cheerful occasion, have not to forget the under-privileged sections of society”, he said.
Nawaz Sharif wished a happy Eidul Azha to the entire nation and dedicated the Eid to the sacrifices rendered by the victimised Kashmiris in their decades long struggle for right to determination against occupying Indian forces. “We have to get their participation in our pleasures”. “This is what the basis of Islamic teachings is”, he added.
In her message, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said the unique instance set by Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) by sacrificing his dearest thing for the satisfaction of Allah will be imitated and followed forever.
“And our society will turn into an Islamic society in true meanings”.
The PM extended hearty felicitations to all the Muslims residing in Pakistan and in the whole world, particularly, the Kashmiri people and thanked Allah Almighty, Who once again blessed them with this felicitous occasion.
In her message on the eve of Eid-ul-Azha, Ms Mehbooba said the holy occasion of Eid-ul-Azha imbibes in us the spirit of making honesty and truthfulness a way of life. They are facing the worst atrocities to get their right to self-determination.
There are 3143 Masajid, 207 Imam bargahs, 34 Ismaili or Bohra community, 439 Eid congregations where the Eid prayers would be offered and 222 places where combined sacrifices of the animals would take place as well as 794 camps of hides collection.

Muslims in the capital city and elsewhere across the country started celebrating Eid-ul-Azha, their second largest religious festival, amid rains on Tuesday morning. It honours the willingness of Hazrat Ibrahim (A.S) to sacrifice his son Hazrat Ismail (A.S) as an act of submission of Allah’s command before Allah then intervened, through his angel Jibrail and informs him that his sacrifice has already been accepted. He would also be celebrating this Eid there after performing Hajj.
