The left-shooting centre/wing fractured his fibula during practice prior to San Jose’s matchup with the New Jersey Devils on Thursday, earning him a likely scratch from the game on Friday evening that quickly turned to a confirmed scratch with the diagnosis of the broken bone.

The Sharks will be without the services of Logan Couture for at least a month.
