The BJP will not take any action against its defiant Lok Sabha member Shatrughan Sinha till after the Bihar election, a senior party leader said on Monday.

Actor-turned-politician Shatrughan Sinha on Tuesday openly dared his party BJP to take action against him over his alleged proximity with Janata Dal (U) leader and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. What is lacking with the BJP is a heavyweight leader from the Yadav community, which is around 16 per cent of the total votebank of the state, where Assembly elections could be over before the festive season, beginning from second week of November.
The party leaders said that the 25-minute meeting saw Kejriwal do the talking while the PM listened.
The decision assumed significance considering the fact that a proposal to this effect was lying with the Art, Culture and Youth Affairs department since 2009-1en BJP was part of Nitish Kumar government and the minister of the department was from the saffron party, as per PTI.
The party will start its second round of “parivartan rath” (campaign for change) from Wednesday and highlight its development agenda centred around the massive package announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi last week.
PM Modi recently addressed two rallies in the state this month, in one of which he announced Rs 1.25 lakh crore package, making the competition even tougher.
The three-hour long meeting was chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and the cabinet accorded administrative approval for over Rs 333 crore projects of North Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited and South Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited to replace faulty and burnt transformers with high capacity ones in rural areas under Rajiv Gandhi Rural Electrification Scheme.

“Is onion cheaper in BJP-ruled states?” The party will hold about 250 rallies in the state in the run-up to the polls. BJP will volley number of questions at Nitish Kumar on alliance, one of them being – “Is he with Lalu today for Bihar’s good or to be Chief Minister again”. Punishment, said sources, will come, but only after the Bihar elections, due by November.
