Sheep Runs Onto Field, Interrupts Minor League Baseball Game
It takes something special to get the talk turning to Spikes vs. Muckdogs with a dose of Whiplash, but here it is.

The State College Spikes were hosting the Batavia Muckdogs Thursday when the New York-Penn Class-A baseball game had to be delayed.
Check out the sheep below, traipsing along in the outfield as if it owns the place. The Spikes booked your traditional cowboy monkey show for between innings and the monkey’s entourage happened to include a couple of sheep, one of which didn’t want to wait until the inning was over to put on a show.
Why was there a sheep on the field during the sixth inning of a professional baseball game?

The sheep apparently broke loose from handlers and made it out onto the outfield, where it went for a lovely run as players and fans watched and laughed. He is also the author of “Root for the Home Team: Minor League Baseball’s Most Off-the-Wall Team Names.” .
