Sheffield Wednesday v Brighton & Hove Albion (Fri)

As 20 Championship teams have now finished their season, it’s not quite over yet for Derby County, Brighton & Hove Albion, Sheffield Wednesday and Hull City who head into the much anticipated Play-Offs.

Brighton will be without suspended duo Lewis Dunk and Dale Stephens, while veteran striker Bobby Zamora (hip) has been ruled out of both legs.

It should a tight game this week, with the best team playing in a hostile atmosphere and needing to keep things calm ahead of the second leg. Back them to do so with a 1-1 draw at 11/2 with bet365.

There was disappointment for Brighton on Saturday when they missed out on automatic promotion after a 1-1 draw at Middlesbrough, which saw the Teesside club promoted into the Premier League as Albion needed to win the promotion shoot-out. “This is such a tough division, so full of quality – Premier League teams that have come down and want to go back up – that any team that finishes in the top six very much deserves to do so”.

“The fans have had a long, long time without reasons to smile and we can feel the fans are enjoying all the games”. “I don’t think they have gone into any game defensively”.

“That shows with the two results we have had against them this season”.

“It’s important to talk how we are at this moment”.

Wednesday face the side that missed out on automatic promotion only on goal difference, Brighton & Hove Albion, in the two-legged play-off semi-finals.

Midfielder Dale Stephens will miss Albion’s Championship play-off matches after the appeal against his red card was rejected by The FA this afternoon. I think Wednesday are the better side and will create more chances. The former is their top scorer on 15 goals this season, with the latter having scored 11 of his 13 league goals since the start of January. They are a very good side and certainly have goals in them.

“We’ve played really well over the last few months and it’s about us taking that into the next two games”.

“There will be some people who will say they have got another bite at the cherry, but I think Wednesday are in a very, very strong position”.

“Our approach has been the same this week and we’ll look to get the same response”.

“We now have to approach the Sheffield game the same as every other game this season”.
