On Thursday, Rogue Community College’s three campuses were among the 1,100 community colleges around the nation participating in a moment of silence.

The Northern Wyoming Community College District, which includes the campuses in Sheridan, Gillette and Johnson County, will observe a moment of silence at noon Thursday to honor the victims of the shooting at a community college in Oregon last week.
MiraCosta College in Oceanside is also scheduled to take part in the observance.
District officials said participants at the San Diego City College event on Gorton Quad would lock arms in solidarity with the victims.
“We’re not going to be deterred by what’s going on when you have an individual act like that”.

“I don’t want our students to be scared”, Shroba said after addressing a crowd of 400 students, faculty and staff that gathered inside a lobby at the College of Southern Nevada’s Charleston campus to commemorate those killed. “As those affected by this devastating tragedy continue to heal, the entire State University of New York family will keep them in our thoughts”. The team determines the risk of the students, then follows up with intervention, in hopes of keeping everyone safe.
