Sheriff David Clarke: Trump Speaks for Police and Those Who Feel Abused

Not surprisingly, Milwaukee Sheriff David Clarke’s speech was highly anticipated, given that three police officers were slain by a gunman over the weekend in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Clarke began by scoffing when Lemon described the police’s reaction to the shooting as being one of peace and unity. And after just a minute, Sheriff Clark went all in and said that we’ve got to stop the “hateful ideology that is Black Lives Matter”. “But there is some good news coming out of Baltimore, Maryland, as Lt. Brian Rice was acquitted on all charges, and the malicious prosecution of activist state’s attorney Marilyn Mosby”, he said to boos.

Clarke, who is African-American, has been one of the most frequent and harshest critics of the “Black Lives Matter” movement.

Black Lives Matter organizers hold the same values of America’s age-old enemies, who have always fought the ideals of our Constitution and our nation. “The American law enforcement officer’s character, service, sacrifice, commitment has been maligned and mischaracterized by some very powerful forces in the country … these are subversives that are doing this”.

Don Lemon was quoted on Friday, July 15, that the Black Lives Matter protesters need to grow up.

Clarke is scheduled to speak Monday at the Republican National Convention Monday in Cleveland, Ohio – presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump is a vocal fan. Then, Clarke shows his true colors when he flat out rejects the statistically proven facts that Black males are treated more aggressively by police officers than other people.

While Lemon attempted to keep the conversation civil, Clarke grew increasingly angry, as the CNN host was forced to ask, “Are you gonna let me finish?” It is in those simple facts and in our acts we will move forward and toward making America safe again.
