Multiple bodies have been found inside a home in the USA state of Arizona.

A Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson said the bodies were found at the residence near Power and Chandler Heights roads around 9 p.m.

The sheriff’s office said it is nearly sure this is a murder-suicide, but the investigation is ongoing.

“We’re leaving a little part open just in case someone else could have caused these three deaths”, Arpaio said.

The house was filled with carbon monoxide when police arrived having been alerted at 9pm on Monday by a neighbour to the fact that a vehicle was running with a hose connected to the exhaust pipe outside the home.

Responding officers found the two children upstairs and the mother’s body in another undisclosed area. Arpaio did not name the children.

Sheriff’s deputies were called out to the residence Monday night in reference to deceased persons at the home.
