About three or four agencies and numerous detectives are working on the “unwitnessed death” in what the sheriff described as a “high profile case”.
The medical examiner’s complete findings are “likely weeks” away, however, a spokesperson said.
Olson would not divulge what, if anything, was found or removed from the compound in the investigation, but he said there was no reason to believe it was a suicide.
Olson also said that no medical calls came from Paisley Park regarding Prince or within the past year.
The medical examiner’s office says that relevant information about Prince’s medical and family history is being collected.
Prince was found collapsed in a lift by staff members, Carver County Sheriff Jim Olson said. “He would have concerts at Paisley Park and we would help with the traffic assistance and those kinds of things”, he said.
A post-mortem examination was carried out by the Midwest medical examiner on Friday (22Apr16), and shortly after its completion, officials in Carver County held their first press conference in the case. “The rest of it is under investigation”, Olson said.
Representatives for Prince have not responded to requests from The Associated Press for comment on the reports of the emergency landing and overdose treatment, and Saturday’s statement from his publicist did not address them.
Olson said “there were no calls involving Prince in the a year ago that we have had”.
The star was found unresponsive in an elevator at his home in Minnesota on Thursday morning after police were called to his Paisley Park estate.
Spokeswoman Martha Weaver says she expects the process will take days or even weeks for tests to be completed.
TMZ, citing unidentified sources, reported that Prince was treated for an overdose of Percocet while traveling home from concerts in Atlanta last week. The caller told the 911 dispatcher, “the person is dead here”.

The private jet diverted about 300 miles to Moline, Illinois, en route to Minneapolis, Prince’s publicist said last week. Freed said the artist showed off a new purple piano he received as a gift, as well as a purple guitar, but seemed upset about the reports of an illness.
