Sheriff’s Deputy shot and killed in St. Cloud hospital

Hammond was at the hospital for treatment of injuries sustained during a domestic incident. “After he was taken into custody he became unresponsive”.
– An investigator with the Aitkin County sheriff’s department was shot and killed by a patient he was guarding at St. Cloud Hospital after the patient wrangled his gun away early Sunday morning.
