She joins her former co-star Kyle Maclachlan, who will be returning as Special Agent Dale Cooper-fans of the show will recall Cooper and Audrey having something of a will-they-won’t-they vibe way back when.

Agent Dale Cooper (Kyle MacLachlan) could be drinking his favorite coffee once again alongside Audrey Horne on the “Twin Peaks” revival.

The owls may not be what they seem in “Twin Peaks”, but according to recent reports from entertainment blogs, it’s starting to look like the upcoming revival on Showtime might end up resembling the series from ’90s as more of the original actors join the cast. Meanwhile, Sheryl Lee has been photographed on the set as Laura Palmer. If Dern is playing Diane, that still doesn’t rule out the popular theory of Diane being a figment of Cooper’s imagination.

Audrey Horne is returning to Twin Peaks! Dern previously worked with MacLachlan and director David Lynch on Blue Velvet, while Lynch also directed her in Wild at Heart and Inland Empire.

The new series is expected to pick up 25 years after the Season 2 finale in 1991 and will premiere on Showtime sometime next year.
