Sherri Shepherd is coming back to The View!

Adding Shepherd to the line-up for the new season is part of the plan to boost the daytime talk show’s floundering ratings ever since the show’s co-creator Barbara Walters stepped down before the start of the 18th season, according to Deadline. Shepherd’s return to “The View” is the only thing fans are talking about right now.
After leaving the show last August due to contract renegotiation issues with ABC, Shepherd returned to the set as a guest host months later in May. Shepherd, a “View” veteran, left at the end of last season. While the 48-year-old has not spoken publicly about her return to “The View“, she did tweet about how much fun “the cohorts” were having on the show early Monday. This year, the hosts have shuffled around nearly constantly.
A revolving door of co-hosts has included Rosie O’Donnell, Rosie Perez and Nicolle Wallace, who came and left in the 11 months since Shepherd’s departure.
Scandals have also plagued the show in recent weeks. She said: “I say this because this is my opinion, and in America, still, I know it’s a shock, but you are still innocent until proven guilty”. The co-host flip flopped and said “the information that’s out there kind of points to guilt”. The other four slots are filled with newbies including Raven-Symone, Michelle Collins, Candace Cameron Bure, and Paula Faris.
