Shia LaBeouf and Sasha Lane Dream Big in New ‘American Honey’ Trailer
This newest trailer takes on an even more dreamlike quality – with help from Springsteen. American Honey received slightly more mixed reviews than those films (especially the former two) when it premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in May, but many critics were still enchanted by the almost three-hour-long road trip drama. The film debuted at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year where it won the Jury Prize and was nominated for the Palme d’Or, and it’s about to embark on the Fall Film Festival circuit.

This new trailer is backed by Bruce Springsteen’s “Dream Baby Dream” as the “American Dream” aspect of the film is highlighted more fully by excerpts from a review. “I got quite upset about some of the towns I went to”. I’m a big fan of the film, and I hope people check it out.
If for some reason this trailer hasn’t soured you on the flick, you can check it out when it lands in theaters September 30! Check out the American Honey trailer below, along with the poster in the gallery!

The film centers on a traveling sales crew tasked with hawking subscriptions via the startlingly personal door-to-door method, with Star (Sasha Lane) taking solace in the presence of Jake (Shia LaBeouf) while pondering the meaning of, well, everything.
