Shiv Sena Announced 1 Lakh Rs Reward To Slap Aamir Khan
Following a severe backlash that included Hindu groups protesting outside his house and the ruling party Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) calling his statement “alarmist”, Khan yesterday said he and his wife had no intention of leaving India.

The Punjab unit of the Shiv Sena on Wednesday announced a reward of Rs 1 lakh per slap for anyone slapping actor Aamir Khan over his recent remarks on “intolerance” in India. When asked about his response to the decisions of many artists and writers to return their awards, Aamir Khan showed great sensitivity.
“No one has the right to ask someone to leave this country or go to Pakistan”, said Chief Minister of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee, addressing a rally of the minorities in Kolkata, reports the Indian Express. “But wholeheartedly disapprove of the idea of India being labelled intolerant by him and others too”, Shatrughan Sinha said on twitter. We never did, and nor would we like to in the future.
The actor had kicked up a political storm with his remarks at a function in Delhi on Monday about his wife expressing fear for their child in the current atmosphere.
“I think, a person like Aamir saying a thing like this is going to create a fear psychosis, and that’s the last thing Muslims in India need at the moment”, he added.
Aamir Khan’s problem continues on Thursday also. My suggestion is that the situation in India is better than any other country.
“What Pawar is saying in Aamir Khan’s defence does not befit the character of Maharashtra”, it said.
Imamuddin, a senior citizen aged 96 years, said that during the Friday Namaz, it was prayed that Aamir regains his senses and the country remains at peace.
Was he endorsing that mode of protest?: “Yes, I would actually endorse any protest which is non-violent…as long as you don’t start beating up people, as long as you don’t resort to violence”. We have to protect what this lovely and unique country of ours really stands for. Shiv Sena was protecting there against his statement over intolerance.

Industry experts, however, are of the view that the Bollywood star gives ample thought to what he speaks.
