Shkodran Mustafi waiting for Arsenal medical
Arsenal could be about to address their central defensive issues with the signing of German worldwide Shkodran Mustafi from Valencia.

Reports on Friday have claimed that the Gunners will turn to Barcelona defender Jérémy Mathieu should the move for Mustafi ultimately fall through.
Goal revealed on Wednesday that Arsenal had been pressing to land Mustafi before they face Liverpool in their Premier League opener on Sunday.
“Today my focus is not too much on this [transfers], because we play a very important game in 48 hours“.
Klostermann has plenty of potential as he develops in the German league, but he is not better than the current crop of youngsters in Arsenal’s squad.
“The Arsenal-complete-30m-deal-Shkodran-Mustafi-48-hours.html?ITO=1490&ns_mchannel=rss&ns_campaign=1490” Daily Mail says the Germany global is waiting for permission to undergo a medical.
The 24-year-old’s agent, Ali Bulut, has now been quoted by the Metro as saying that personal terms have now been agreed between Arsenal and the defender.
They were keen on West Brom’s Jonny Evans but Tony Pulis blocked the move and Mustafi is likely to be welcomed by frustrated Arsenal fans who have been desperate for new signings.
According to The Mail, Mustafi has finalized a long-term contract with the Gunners, and it remains for the club to negotiate a transfer fee with the Mestalla outfit. “We have to follow the prices paid by other people”, the Arsenal manager said.
It’s getting curious, I’d say. Yet with Le Prof’s own admission that a defender must be found, this may be the best opportunity that we have to see a new defender land at Arsenal.
