Police today said the woman, identified as Rajani, suspected that her husband was “sexually harassing” the elder one. The husband who approach at the spot after 45 minutes found the door open and her wife missing. Later, police arrested Rajani.
She suspected that her husband had allegedly been sexually harassing their elder daughter, an LKG student, for the past six months, the Inspector said, adding, the woman had also confronted her husband over the matter, but he had denied the charge. The incident happened at businessman Vinay Chutke’s house at Teacher’s Colony in Tukaramgate. The mother has been taken into custody, said the police.
On being interrogated, the accused revealed she killed her daughters because they were being abused by their father, Vinay Chutke.
Based on a complaint from the husband, Thukaramgate police registered a case of murder against the accused under section 302 of Indian Penal Code.
According to the reports, Rajini Chutke, the mother of the two has been taken into custody for allegedly slitting the throats of her daughters using a broken jam jar.

Rajani’s husband was questioned and after preliminary investigation, the cops failed to find any solid evidence to prove the allegations levelled against him.
