Flight EK521 was coming from Thiruvananthapuram, in India, when it was involved in an “operational incident upon landing” in Dubai, Emirates said.
The Boeing 777 was carrying 282 passengers and 18 crew members from 20 different countries, according to the airline.

Dubai is the world’s largest air hub in terms of worldwide passengers, and is the base for Emirates, from where it serves more than 153 destinations.
The airline said that it has already notified passengers about their respective flight status through various channels.
Operations at the Dubai airport came to halt on Wednesday after an Emirates flight from Thiruvananthapuram crash-landed and caught fire on the runway.
Five passengers were taken to the hospital with minor injuries received during the evacuation.
Safety experts said it was too early to pinpoint a cause for the crash, but authorities ruled out any security breach. It confirmed that “all passengers and crew are accounted for and safe”, but gave no details of what went wrong.
“Leave everything. Leave the bags”, a man calls out, telling people to use the inflatable slide to evacuate the plane.
All flights on the Hyderabad-Dubai sector stand cancelled on Thursday due to non-availability of runway at Dubai International Airport.
The incident shut down Dubai’s airport, one of the world’s busiest, for around 4-hours, forcing the cancellation or diversion of over 300-flights.
The flight had left from Kerala, and most of the passengers were Indians.

Flight Radar, a third party website say that fights that were scheduled to arrive at DXB were diverted to multiple airport Muscat, Bahrain and Al Ain.
