Shocking: Miss Universe crown taken away from Miss Colombia
The controversy surrounding the pageant is yet to settle down, with Miss Germany Sarah-Lorraine Riek slamming the result.

Miss Universe 2015 host Steve Harvey has made an apology for saying the wrong name when announcing the victor on air.
Gutierrez was originally announced as the victor before host Steve Harvey admitted the 21-year-old Colombian beauty was actually the first runner-up. “I’m happy for all that I did for becoming this dream”.
When the interviewer asked why she and other contestants surrounded Gutierrez instead of congratulating Wurtzbach after Miss Philippines received the crown, Riek said flatly: “Because none of us voted for Philippines”.
Missosology has another post showing numerous contestants chanting “Colombia” even after Miss Philippines was crowned.
He has since deleted the tweet.
“They took away her crown”, and “the shortest reign in history” was the sentiment expressed nearly universally on Twitter, where the hashtag “Respect the Crown” was the country’s top trending topic.
Music swelled, Gutierrez was fitted for a sash, given flowers and a crown was placed on her head.
It continued: “She never meant to offend Miss Philippines in any way”.
Miss Philippines Pia Wurtzbach and Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutiérrez-Arévalo have also had their say on the matter, with Ariadna commenting: “Everything happens for a reason, so I’m happy”.
Wurtzbach told ET that she saw Miss Colombia, Ariadna Gutierrez, crying backstage as a group of girls comforted her, but that she has not spoken to Gutierrez about the mishap yet. “I’m so sorry to say it”.
Our source said there is “no way” the mistake was done for publicity, as some news outlets have questioned, but could be chalked up to Harvey simply being under-rehearsed.

“I have to apologize”, Harvey said, and continued to tell millions of people on national television that Miss Philippines, Mia Wurtzbach, was the real pageant victor.
