SINGAPORE – A woman in China has been slammed online after she prevented firefighters from breaking the window of her luxury auto in order to rescue her trapped three-year-old son.
They eventually ignored her freaky request and smashed a window when the boy fainted. Would you really prioritise your vehicle over your child?
Large crowds had gathered after hearing the boy’s cries of help coming from within the BMW, but were surprised to find his unperturbed mother standing outside the auto.
One of the firefighters said: ‘It’s very risky to leave children inside cars, especially in such heat.
“It can threaten a child’s life in a very short time”.
Firefighters who arrived at the scene in Yiwu city, China, were about to break the glass to rescue the boy – but his mum told them she wanted to wait for a locksmith instead so the vehicle would not be damaged.
According to the UK Mirror, even Chinese social media users were livid with the woman’s actions. Days ago, a three-year-old girl in Shandong died after her nursery school principal left her in a boiling hot auto for nine hours.

Many have come out to say that she is not the true mother of the child, asking that a probe be made to ascertain the real maternity of the boy. On June 27, a four-year-old boy from Hunan died from heat exhaustion after his parents forgot him in the back of a stuffy vehicle.
