Shocking video of tiger mauling Chinese girl goes viral

One marital spat inadvertently led to the death of a woman and the mauling of another on Saturday at the Badaling Wildlife World in Beijing, China. As the driver opens his door, the woman is suddenly grabbed from behind by a tiger and forcefully dragged away.

A mother has died after trying to save her daughter from a tiger attack at a drive-through animal park in Beijing, The New York Times reports. Tigers have a notorious reputation as one of the deadliest predators in Asia, and rely on killing their prey quickly and effectively.

A CCTV footage of the incident shows as the first woman got out of the auto.

Visitors are allowed to drive their own vehicles around the park, but are forbidden from getting out while in certain enclosures, according to The Associated Press. A tiger pounced on the first woman her she got out of the auto while touring the wildlife park identified as the Beijing Badaling Wildlife World.

The deadly brush with nature occurred at Badaling Wildlife World on the outskirts of Beijing on Saturday when a female traveler entered an argument with her travelling companions, triggering her to get out from the auto and walk over to the other side. Just this March, an employee was trampled to death by an elephant while performing routine maintenance.

Xinhua reported that an investigation into the incident was underway and that the zoo had been temporarily closed.
