Shooter arrived at prom on bike
The community of Antigo has two heroes that are not police, and have kept a low profile since the shooting incident at prom last Saturday night. There is no word on their condition.

Roller could not release many details during a press conference Monday, saying they do not yet know what gunman Jakob Wagner’s motive was.
“We did kind of bond because we were bullied by a lot of the same people and kind of in the same ways”, she said. “We’re also looking t the victims and hope everything comes through OK with them”.
The man who shot two students at Antigo High School’s prom late Saturday had been bullied since at least middle school and had expressed an interest in guns, according to a former classmate.
The shooter died at the hospital.
WJFW-TV said the Rhinelander school district has been working with the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office to make sure its plans for this weekend’s prom will keep everyone safe.
On Facebook, a friend said Wagner volunteered for the school’s marching band and loved “drawing, his family, music, band, art and school”.
Administrators at Antigo High School say it’s important that students have access to support from counselors and others who will be available at all the district’s schools Monday.
The Chicago Tribune reports that Jakob E. Wagner was a senior at Antigo High School in 2015, but did not graduate. “We were all frightened”.
Dewey described Wagner as an “all-around good guy” and said he generally seemed happy.
“We’re going to try to find out as many answers as possible as the Department of Criminal Investigation investigates this”, said Roller.
“At this point, we feel that we have the subject in custody that was a threat”.
The female victim was treated and released and the male victim was undergoing surgery for injuries that weren’t life-threatening, police said. He reportedly had been dating a current student at the school who broke up with him last month.
An autopsy on Wagner was completed by the Fond du Lac Medical Examiner on Sunday. “I got that and then it turned out to be this, so I’ll remember it as more of a shooting”. He talked about the Wagner he knew and how they both grew up being bullied.
“It just takes one or two that are angry about something”, Balcerzak said in reference to the shooting.
“God bless all of you at the APD”, one commenter wrote.

Gov. Scott Walker says in a statement that the actions of the Antigo Police Department “undoubtedly saved lives”. “The main role with DOJ is to fully investigate this officer involved shooting”.
