Another school shooting took place in America, but regardless of none getting hurt, the situation was just as bad. Police today revealed more details of what happened at Georgia’s Ronald E. McNair Discovery Learning Academy in Decatur. Michael Brandon Hill, the shooter that took teachers and other faculty hostage, posed with the AK-47-style riffle he used at the time of the shooting and purchased nearly 500 rounds of ammunition before going and doing the horrible act. Hill managed to strike fear and panic among the parents of the children involved and caused many people around the world to pray for the children.

Thankfully none of the 870 students, which consists of children in pre-kindergarten through fifth grade, were not harmed and that Hill was able to gain access to the school office and take the faculty inside, hostage. The entire ordeal was terrifying for everyone involved. This incident comes almost a year after the tragic Sandy Hook School Shooting where Adam Larza fatally shot twenty children and six faculty members. This incident is in no way equal to the shooting and many feel that this is a step forward in securing the gun control debate.
However, there are many who feel that this is not the right situation for arguing the gun control debate. There are still many people 
who have to problems with what type of regulations, if any, are being held against gun owners. To compare this to Sandy Hook would be idiotic, but it is another type of school shooting and many people are looking for the people to blame. The fact that the shooter had nearly 500 rounds of ammunition, many feel it should be a law.

Parents who have children at the school were devastated at the news that shots were fired and quickly raced to the school to make sure that their children were not in any danger. Also in the parking lot, bomb-sniffing dogs alerted on a car, but it turned out that the car didn’t have any explosives. This is another reason many feel that there needs to be stricter gun laws, but many feel it is the mental health where people should start. However, one thing that everyone agrees on is that something needs to be done to prevent this from happening. Some schools have gone to the extreme of arming school teachers in the classrooms. This is views as a wrong response to a bigger problem that is facing America at this moment.
