According to the NYPD, shots fired during the May 25 rap show left one man dead.

Collins was in custody and couldn’t be reached for comment Thursday.

Collins goes by the stage name Troy Ave. Also performing at the concert were the Brooklyn-based.

In a post on Instagram, T.I. sent his condolences to the victims, adding that “our music is meant to save lives, like it has mine and many others”. The victim was shot in the stomach. A message left at a number listed for him hasn’t been returned. Two other people, a 26-year-old woman and a 30-year-old man, were each shot in the leg.

Collins, Heckstall and Vinson are in stable condition.

Police said they had not yet made arrests or assigned a motive.

A man who died in a shooting at a T.I. concert at Irving Plaza on Wednesday night was seduced by the easy money and glamour of the nightlife scene, according to his brother, an anti-violence activist. Performers Maino and Uncle Murda were on stage at the time. “It was insane. It’s insane more people didn’t get shot”.

“The insane world of the so-called rap artists who are basically thugs that basically celebrate the violence they live all their lives and unfortunately that violence often manifests itself during the performances and that’s exactly what happened last evening”, he said. The hip-hop stars representatives are referring all questions about the shooting to police.

“We’re very confident that we’ll close it up very quickly”, Bratton said on WOR-AM radio, though he said some members of the rappers’ entourages weren’t being much help. Police are searching for the gunman. He says many were unwilling to talk with police.

Rapper T.I., born Clifford Joseph Harris Jr., was not among the injured. Irving Plaza has a capacity of approximately 1,000 people. After people began trying to flee the venue, he said he heard a third shot.

Police have recovered five 9mm bullet casings, and are talking to witnesses and looking for video of the incident, he said. “We were clutching each other making sure no one was getting hit”.
