Police say an officer shot a man while responding to a domestic disturbance outside the airport.

The person who shot the video, Bryan Armstrong, claims that the suspect had a rock in his hand and refused to cooperate with officers, which led to the shooting. A police spokesperson said the unidentified suspect was believed to be conscious when he was taken to the hospital. He hit her, pulled out his suitcase from the auto, then grabbed a traffic cone which he smashed into the vehicle windshield. The police officer that fired the shots has been removed from patrol duty pending a review.
“The tactics the officer used were quite appropriate, and the patience the officer used trying to get the suspect to stay down really tells the story”, Brown said.
In the confusion, some people entered secure areas of the busy airport without proper screening – triggering delays as security checks were carried out. However, “the video is pretty telling”, the chief said.

In amateur video posted to Instagram, you can hear the shots ring out. Amid the sound of nine gunshots and an officer’s shouts to “get down”, some people scramble while others stand watching before officers order them back inside. Toward the end of the video, one officer is seen pointing his gun at someone near the glass exterior of the airport.
But other say it’s the responsibility of the police to use the right amount of force, depending on the situation.
The condition of the victim is not known.

Traveler Lucinda Fonseca told WFAA-TV that she and her husband were coming out of the baggage claim area when they saw police approaching the man throwing rocks and one of the officers drew a gun.
