Shooting reported at North Wales church, gunman in custody

Authorities say one person is dead and a suspect is in custody after a shooting in the area of a suburban Philadelphia church.

Montgomery County, PA, officials said that the incident started at 11 a.m. today at Keystone Fellowship Church in North Wales.

Police said Robert Braxton, a 27-year-old member of the church, was the shooting victim, according to NBC 10 Philadelphia. “One man was shot and another is being questioned by police; no one else was hurt”.

“We’re going to have to determine whether the shooting was justified under the law”, he said.

A spokesperson for Abington – Lansdale Hospital told ABC News one victim died.

Hundreds of people were at the Keystone Fellowship Church service, Steele said.

“We don’t know what the relationship is between the two of them”, Steele said. “Our congregation is in prayer for everyone involved”.

The Facebook post about the guest pastor went on to read, “Please note: for our guest’s safety, no photos or videotaping will be permitted”.
