Shoppers disappointed in hyped ‘Prime Day’ sales
In an effort to counter some of online behemoth Amazon.com’s stranglehold, Walmart is touting some new online offers to spark even more customer engagement.

Walmart criticized Amazon for only extending the sale to Prime members and said its sale was meant to “stand up for customers”. The one-day sale on Wednesday will be for Amazon Prime members worldwide. For example, Otterbox Defender cases for the iPad Air 2 were among the Lightning Deals for the mid-morning to afternoon hours.
Please add below your Prime Day deals that you find. Best Buy is also planning to have their Black Friday sale on July 24 to 25. The 1.2K of $999 TVs sold out in less than 10 minutes and there are thousands more deals coming.
Prime Day, sort of like Christmas in July, coincides with the retail giant’s 20 anniversary. Amazon is offering different deals throughout the day, things like a 32-inch TV for $75, a 400inch TV for $115, Roomba vacuums for $100 off, and Harry Potter books at half price.
So if you love a good bargain, you can shop till you drop from the comfort of your own home with Prime Day. Those sales were staggered throughout the day, but many sold out within minutes or even seconds of going up. (NASDAQ:AMZN) announced a Prime Day, which it claims to surpass sales on the online ecommerce department. Just under 25% of those polled were already subscribers to the Prime program and that subgroup considered itself very likely to participate in the sale.
Mulpuru said she thinks Amazon will hold another Prime Day sale, but will be more selective about the marketing.
To take part you’ll need to be a member of Amazon Prime, the company’s premium membership that offers quick free delivery along with the company’s huge online video service Amazon Prime Instant Video.

To entice customers to its site, which it also said will feature “thousands” of great deals, Wal-Mart has cut its free shipping minimum order to $35 from $50 until further notice, he said.
