Get your holiday shopping done early on Small Business Saturday. “They offer special savings, and gift wrapping and things like that you don’t get in those bigger stores”, said Shopper Brittony Landis.

With so many people taking advantage of deals at big box stores this Black Friday, what about shopping local? Consumers spent $14.3 billion dollars on this one day event a year ago.
Over at Fleet Feet sports, manager Chris Ramsey says Savannah residents have always shown their support for the local sports store.
In Linton they have 50 small businesses that opened their doors. “I definitely see especially in Seattle more people interested in helping out the smog guy rather than waiting in line all night just get a TV that’s like 10 bucks cheaper”.
Folks in Eastern Kentucky know the importance of shopping local everyday.
“A local downtown has really interesting fun shops”, Jasmine Nelson said of Chicago. “We don’t have a location anywhere else so this is unique to Chattanooga so I think it adds character”.
Nitza’s clothing shop downtown was also busy setting up for the season and encouraging the community to check out all shops in the area.
“I love living in a town where you feel like you’re part of a big community”.

Dayla Lemler of Lemler Valley Farm said, “We don’t just take out dollars that we make here and take them home, we spend them with each other”.
