Show opens voting for Top 12; results to be
Bringing the first night of live playoffs to a close, Smith dazzled the coaches and audience with his take on Beyonce’s “Halo” and it will go down as one of the finest performances in the show’s history.

We had two full nights of performances this week on The Voice 2015 Season 9, as Team Adam and Team Gwen performed on Monday Night and it was Team Blake and Team Pharrell taking the stage last night and performing for your votes.
Who has your favorite last night? Well, let’s recap a few of my favorites. “It’s signed”, Pharrell says after the performance.
Like the previous comeback artist of Season 9, the artist took the stage ready to pull out all the stops and earn the opportunity that his coach gave him. I mean the girl got mad pipes and a hypnotizing country twang. I agreed with Gwen’s comment; Riley has a subtleness to her voice that’s really warm and inviting, but hose high notes take her performance to another level. Pharrell said it was a “super-genuine” performance.
So, drum roll please! She didn’t have a bad night, but she will likely go in a different direction for her song choice next week. The song fit her voice like a glove as it gave her space to once again uncover her trademark quirky tone. I was personally really happy to see her back in the competition. She performed “You’re No Good” by Linda Rondstadt. Tonight she not only shined vocally, but allowed her infectious personality to enhance her stage presence. Blake said Darius is the member of Team Pharrell that the other coaches should most be anxious about. “You still are shy but you’re not a shy performer”, he said. “I’m so glad I brought you back”. He never fails to awe the audience every time he hits the stage. He was hitting high notes that could have made Adam Levine blush (though he didn’t) and demonstrated his ability to dance and get the crowd excited. Adam noted Mark is fantastic, and Blake was also astounded by his performance. “You have that thing”.
Pharrell said, “Easily the best performance of the night and [Gwen] was totally right to take an emotional path. You emotionally dug the lyric and the song. This was your night”.
Gwen said, “What was that?!” You were an artist purely emoting your attractive talented gifted voice.
But Jordan Smith, the guy who has almost 16 million views of his Blind Audition performance (to date), will make the Top 12 on Wednesday night when “The Voice” pares the four teams, comprised of 20 chosen contestants and 4 that were brought back from elimination (a new twist this season), in half. I mean he is OMG, WOW unstoppable. As Shelton pointed out, her home should be with crooning vocals because delivering more of that kind of performance could very well carry this unique artist very far in her career.
Jordan received a standing ovation by all the coaches.

Pharrell said, “What can I say?!” Literally there’s is nothing to say! Blake said he proved himself to be a great singer, and while Pharrell admitted he looked a little awkward at times, you don’t always look cool when you love someone.
