Showers and thunderstorms possible through most of work week

Tuesday morning temperatures will hold in the mid 60s and there could be a line of showers or thunderstorms early in the day.

Sunday: Partly sunny skies with pop-up showers and storms expected.

An area of low pressure will sit and spin over Virginia Monday, which will give us more rain showers throughout the day.

Expect a good amount of cloud cover this long weekend, a chance of a few showers, but also some sunny breaks periodically.

Saturday Night: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Not as cool with highs in the lower 70s. Rain chances are back in the forecast Thursday and stay around through the holiday weekend.

Memorial Day: Partly cloudy, hot & humid with a slight chance for rain.

Tuesday will be a somewhat similar story with a cloudy morning and possible showers and thunderstorms later in the day.

FRIDAY: Mostly cloudy skies and scattered rain showers will be around for Friday, with a high temperature of 85 degrees.

Thursday: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 8am. Wednesday high temperatures will be warm, with high temperatures around 81 degrees. The low Monday night will be around 52.

Today will be sunny with highs near 78.

Wednesday: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly before 11 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 82.
