He accused the ruling family of running the government in Punjab for the past decade as a personal fiefdom and putting their self-interests before the interests of the state and its people. Kejriwal asked me not to fight the Assembly elections, only campaign.

Sidhu is set to launch “Awaaz-e-Punjab” front along with MLA Pargat Singh and two Ludhiana MLA brothers Simarjit Singh Bains and Balwinder Bains.

Sidhu said their aim is that Punjab, Punjabiyat and Punjabis should win.

Moving ahead of his position after his resignation from the Rajya Sabha and deliberations with the AAP for nearly two months, Mr Sidhu on Thursday charged that Mr Arvind Kejriwal only needs a “yes man” in his party. But he said my wife can contest and will make her a Minister.

Sidhu, a three-time BJP MP from Amritsar, earlier claimed that he quit the party as he was asked to stay away from Punjab. BJP leader R.P.Singh said, “One thing is clear that Kejriwal ji wants to become Punjab Chief Minister”.

The former Chief Minister interacting with reporters along the sidelines of his “Coffee with Captain” programme, also clarified that neither he nor the Congress party had sent any emissaries to invite Sidhu to join the party.

“I got to know that Sukhbir Badal has got 63 fake CDs prepared against us and has even hired a company for doing it”, said Kejriwal, “but, I am very happy that the people of Punjab are very smart. We have planned to make all farmers in Punjab debt-free by the end of 2018”, Kejriwal said.

AAP spokesman Dilip Pandey also said following the court order there is no parliamentary secretary in Delhi now.

“Good people are used for campaigning and when not needed they are thrown out”.

“While men of power are afraid, men of character are frustrated”, he said noting that they fall in latter category.

Stressing that only those political parties would survive which have a glorious past to serve the mankind with devotion and commitment, Badal said Shiromani Akali Dal would cherish the aspiration of people.
