Sidhu welcome in AAP, if he wants, says Kejriwal
With the Opposition parties questioning the practicability of the scheme as public transport is still not strengthened to meet the demand if people leave their cars at home, he said many things were yet to be thrashed out, including exemption for “certain” private vehicles. “If there are too many problems, it will be stopped”, Kejriwal said at the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit here.

The issue #DelhiOddEvenLogic trended on Twitter, with netizens mocking at the government.
Earlier on Saturday, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had said that the decision of allowing private vehicles with even-odd registration numbers on alternate days was a contingency step and would be discontinued if it caused inconvenience to the public. I see no problem in the even-odd auto number system. He was answering a query on the potential of Sidhu becoming a member of his party and turning into its chief ministerial candidate for the Punjab meeting elections of 2017.
About 1,500 new vehicles are added every day to the city roads.
“We welcome even-odd auto system initiated by Delhi government. Only time will tell how much serious he is with this odd and even”, Congress leader Ajay Maken told the media here.
Taking a dig at the 400 percent rise in salary of Aam Aadmi Party MLAs, one tweet said: “Got it. 400 percent salary hike of AAP MLAs is to buy both odd and even number cars to drive everyday”.
The U.S. Embassy’s reading of Beijing’s air pollution on Monday found a measure of more than 600, it measured an off the charts 999 in New Delhi on its air quality index just two days prior.
The move came after Delhi High Court said the Delhi was like a “gas chamber”.

“Justice Thakur could have made a general statement that something should be done for reducing air pollution in Delhi, but he should not have gone into specifics”, Katju further said.
