Siemian is an action, not words kind of quarterback
Although Trevor Siemian looked competent at best during Denver’s 17-9 victory over the Rams, Broncos coach Gary Kubiak will nearly certainly name him the starter this week – perhaps as early as today.

Rookie Paxton Lynch will also be watching from the sidelines, despite being the Broncos first round pick out of Memphis.
When Peyton Manning retired, and Brock Osweiler left, for the Houston Texans, via free agency there was some doubt as to who was going to be the quarterback for the Denver Broncos. Over the two campaigns, he threw for 18 touchdowns against 15 interceptions across 13 games, 10 of which were starts. We’ll all find out starting on September 8, 2016 as the Broncos take on the Carolina Panthers in the opening game of the National Football League regular season. “For me, I’m not reading too much into anything and trying to be the best team-mate and leader I can be”.
“I’ve got a lot invested and a lot of work that I can make some decisions off of now”, Kubiak said after Saturday’s preseason game, via ESPN’s Jeff Legwold. “I think those two guys are right there with each other”. Siemian is a second-year former seventh-round pick whose only significant playing time came in preseason over the last two years. Mark Sanchez did not play and was notified by head coach Gary Kubiak before the game.
While a surprise to some the move by Kubiak makes sense because of Siemian’s experience in the Broncos’ system. “I don’t quit. I’ll take this thing down to the wire if that’s what it takes, and that’s what it looks like, so let’s go”. I’m very proud of him.
In the report, Siemian said he is “feeling confident” when asked if he thinks he will be the reigning Super Bowl champions’ new starting passer.
His coaches say he’s smart, his teammates say he’s smart, and one Peyton Manning, yes, said Siemian was smart. He appeared in four games completing 64 percent of his passes for a total of 616 yards.
Siemian and Sanchez were considered “neck and neck” by Kubiak in the first few games of pre-season, but Siemian nudged ahead thanks to his solid work in camp and his performances in the three pre-season games to date.
Merely good is likely enough at quarterback for the Broncos to continue winning in 2016.

“Tavon has been an integral part of our offense and special teams since we drafted him in 2013”, Fisher said in a statement. He was traded to the Broncos for a 2017 conditional draft pick.
