Sigourney Weaver returning to Ghostbusters franchise

Paul Feig’s treatment to this reboot is an all-female plot, which features four powerful and humorous women as the main squad, while the script is said to have no narrative link to the initial tale.

Actress Sigourney Weaver is heading back to the Ghostbusters franchise after landing an appearance in the upcoming reboot.

Weaver played Ghostbusters client-turned-demon Dana Barrett in the first movie, although it is not clear if she will reprise the same role for the revamp. There’s a lot of speculation going around about that and any number of things regarding the film, and Feig had some choice words for those who don’t have anything nice to say. Still Sony and Feig are bringing back the constituting casts from the series.

At this point, it is hard to believe there are still secrets left, since the online world already knew that Hudson, Potts, Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd are making cameos too.

Fans were actually very happy for the newscast that often Weaver reacted the decision to call inside of the star new Ghostbusters video.

“Ghostbusters” reboot will be released on July 22, 2016.

The “Ghosbusters” remake cast includes Kristen Wiig (The Skeleton Twins) as Erin Gilbert, Melissa McCarthy (This Is 40) as Abby Yates, Leslie Jones (Christmas In Compton) as Patty Tolan and Kate McKinnon (Staten Island Summer) as Jill Holztmann.
