Sigourney Weaver to Join Ghostbusters Cast

The movie’s director, Paul Feig, tweeted this morning that it was true – Sigourney Weaver would be appearing in the movie at some point.

Also confirmed this week was former Ghostbuster Ernie Hudson, he will be joining his fellow Ghostbusters Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd in the new film as well. Well Paul Feig took care of that.

Earlier this year, Weaver joked that she would only appear in the film if one very particular condition was fulfilled.

As the reboot of the “Ghostbusters” film franchise with an all-female cast wraps up production, more details about film are surfacing online. That sounds great to me, and keeps with the light-hearted spirit of the original.

He added: “The biggest thing I’ve heard for the last four months is, ‘Thanks for ruining my childhood.’ It’s going to be on my tombstone when I die …”

“I’m such a huge fan of all those women and I can’t wait to see what they do with it”, she said.

“They might have us pop up as marshmallow men or something and then destroy us”, she said.

The Ghostbusters reboot, which will also star Thor hunk Chris Hemsworth, is due to hit cinemas next July (16).
