Silicon Valley’s Kumail Nanjiani Fanboys Over ‘X-Files’ Guest Role
The very first teaser trailer for the “X-Files” six-episode revival mini-series has been released.

Find out more about Kumail Nanjiani joining The X-Files after the jump! But one massive fan of the sci-fi series that launched in the 90s is even more excited, because he actually gets to be part of the revival with Mulder and Scully.
As was noted in the report, Kumail Nanjiani will be playing the role of an animal control officer in an episode written by Darin Morgan.
“Silicon Valley” actor Numail Nanjiani revealed on Twitter that he’s shooting a guest stint on FOX’s new “X-Files“.

Over the weekend, noted comedian/Twitter champ/actor Kumail Nanjiani gushed his little fanboy heart out on the set of the latest iteration of The X-Files. At the end of a long day, stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson were reminiscing about their time on the show and Anderson suggested Nanjiani film it. While he adds that the video was low quality, he hopes to include it on the podcast in the near future. There are many photos to prove it and some great tweets that any fan of The X-Files can appreciate because Nanjiani’s enthusiasm is unbridled. THE X-FILES originally premiered in September 1993.
