Silver Star Nation: Dunbar Out; Another Huge Loss for Cowboys

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers would be the other, and of course the Cowboys spin him later within the season. I understand why they wanted Dez Bryant back; he’s an explosive player. He makes adjustments within plays, within series, within games, always putting their team in a situation where they can be successful.

The timetable for Romo’s return remains unclear, though the quarterback has already confirmed that he will not undergo surgery.

The Cowboys saw their 10-game road winning streak snapped in the loss to the Saints.

QB Brandon Weeden lost for the 10th straight time as a starting quarterback.

Coach Jason Garrett said he believes that an MRI exam will confirm the initial evaluation.

“That’s never really been an issue for us as a team”, Garrett said. I think it’s just going out and beat a good football team. He’s going to come back. We’ve got another game next week.

“To say we have someone in-house who is going to do those same kinds of things, I don’t know that we have somebody like that”, Garrett said.

Dallas has started each game red hot, but once the second half comes around they start to play down to their opponent’s level and that is when they fall behind.

“He wins a lot of games”, Weeden said.

The winless Saints were supposed to be a sure win.

They host the New England Patriots in Week 5, and they’re tied with the New York Giants and Washington Redskins for first place in the division. The same for the Seattle Seahawks on November. 1.

Both the Dallas Cowboys as well as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have an eye on Forte.

Coming into week 4, the (2-1) Dallas Cowboys had to head to New Orleans to play the (0-3) New Orleans Saints.

The loss of Dunbar leaves current Dallas quarterback Brandon Weeden with limited options.

Near the 9:50 mark of the third quarter, the Cowboys received one of their biggest plays of the game. The running game is where the offense needs dramatic improvement. The injury will rule out Dunbar for the rest of the season leaving a huge vacant spot to fill. However, the silver lining for McFadden owners is that he dominated the workload after starter Joseph Randle’s bonehead TD play that was originally ruled a fumble. However, his next seven rushes went for a whopping 6 yards. What was once laughably called the “Dream Team” in Philly has turned into an outright nightmare for the former Cowboy running back. But what’s also true is that the Cowboys are not tearing it up on the ground themselves. He is 0-3 since joining the Cowboys. Absolutely not. But thinking they could replace Murray with a running back by committee is where they made their fatal mistake. If Weeden continues his level of play, which makes him arguably the best #2 quarterback in the league, things may be looking up. Last season Sproles was named to the All-Pro and Pro Bowl teams for the first time in his 11-year career and has returned three three punts or kicks for touchdowns since being traded to the Eagles.
